Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground chuck, browned and drained
    1 small onion, chopped
    3 (4 oz.) cans green chilies, chopped
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
    1 (15 oz.) can lima beans, rinsed and drained
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can hominy, drained
    3 (14 1/2 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    1 pkg. taco seasoning
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 pkg. Ranch dressing mix
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion together; drain. Add remaining ingredients to meat and simmer for 30 minutes. Before serving, shred Cheddar cheese on top and serve with tortilla chips.
