Popcorn Crumble - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. unsalted popped corn, picked over for unpopped kernels
    1 1/3 c. pecan halves
    2/3 c. sliced almonds
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1 c. margarine (butter does not produce as nice a syrup but will work)
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix popcorn and nuts in large bowl and set aside.
    Combine sugar, margarine and corn syrup in heavy saucepan.
    Bring to boil; stir constantly and cook to 300\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Add vanilla and quickly pour over popcorn mixture.
    Stir to coat well and spread on buttered cookie sheet to harden.
