Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    3/4 c. hot water
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together.
    Add eggs.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Alternate with buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Add hot water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Makes 36 cupcakes or 3 large layers.
