Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/3 c. dry poppy seed
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Mix butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until creamy.
Add pecans and poppy seed.
Stir in flour and chill dough.
Shape into 2 or 3 rolls.
Sprinkle each roll with sugar.
Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze overnight.
Slice while frozen.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Do not overbake.
