Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. yellow corn meal
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of soda
1 small minced onion
pinch of salt
1/4 c. milk

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Add milk until mixture is pasty.
Drop by spoonfuls into hot fat.
Cook until golden brown; drain.
Serve hot.
Yields 12 servings.
