Caramel Snappers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    144 small pecan halves (about 1 c.)
    36 light caramels
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted in top of double boiler
Preparation
    Grease cookie sheet.
    On it arrange pecans flat side down into groups of 4.
    Place 1 caramel on each cluster of pecans.
    Heat in slow oven (325\u00b0) until caramels soften, about 4 to 8 minutes. Watch carefully.
    Remove from oven.
    With buttered spatula, flatten caramels over pecans.
    Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to waxed paper.
    Swirl melted chocolate on top.
    Makes 36 Snappers.
