Savory Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. Jim Dandy quick grits
4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
1 c. grated sharp cheese
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Brown sausage; drain fat.
Add pepper, onion and celery.
Saute until vegetables are slightly tender. Cook grits in water with salt according to package.
Combine cooked grits and sausage mixture.
Pour into buttered shallow 2-quart casserole dish.
Spread undiluted soup over sausage mixture, then sprinkle with cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
