Chicken And Dressing Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tsp. minced onion
    6 tsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. celery salt
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sage
    pepper to taste
    3 to 4 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 (4 to 5 lb.) chicken, cooked and boned
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/3 c. flour
    6 c. chicken broth
    6 eggs, well beaten
    dried bread crumbs
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter in large skillet. Add next 5 ingredients; toss lightly to mix. Spread in greased baking dish. Arrange chicken over dressing. Melt shortening in saucepan; blend in flour. Stir in broth. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Cool slightly; blend in eggs. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over chicken. Top with dried bread crumbs. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until brown. Yield: 12 servings.
