Old-Fashioned Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew beef
    2 Tbsp. pure lard or bacon drippings
    1/4 c. flour
    1 (16 oz.) tomato
    1/2 c. beef broth
    1/2 c. cold coffee
    2 or 3 potatoes, cubed
    2 carrots, sliced
    sliced onions
    1 celery stalk, sliced
    1 Tbsp. tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Combine meat and oil in 3-quart glass casserole.
    Cover and microwave on High setting for 10 minutes, stirring once.
    Stir flour into meat.
    Add remaining ingredients and then microwave on Low-defrost setting for 76 minutes.
    Stir after 30 minutes.
    If meat is not fork-tender, microwave on same setting for 19 minutes.
