Mother'S Plain Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar (regular)
1 c. Crisco (be sure it is a full cup)
6 eggs
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. almond extract
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)

Preparation

Pan:
Use a tube cake pan; line only the bottom of pan. Grease thoroughly the sides, bottom, paper and especially the funnel of pan.
