1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. regular sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. quick oats
Preparation

Combine the shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Add the remaining ingredients. Shape into a roll and wrap in waxed paper. Chill overnight. Cut into slices and bake at 350\u00b0 about 10 minutes.
