Vegetable Scallop - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small zucchini, sliced
    1 medium onion, sliced
    2 small tomatoes, sliced
    1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies
    2 c. seasoned croutons
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 c. water
    1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    In 1 1/2-quart square casserole, layer half of the zucchini, onion, tomatoes, chilies and croutons, seasoned with salt and pepper.
    Repeat layers.
    Cover and cook 10 to 12 minutes.
    Add cheese and cook 1 to 2 minutes until cheese melts.
    Serves 6.
