Chocolate-Cherry Thumbprints - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2/3 c. butter, softened
    2 eggs
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    2 c. oatmeal, uncooked
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 (10 oz.) jars maraschino cherries, drained and patted dry
Preparation
    Beat sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla until smooth.
    Add 1
    cup morsels,
    melted;\tmix
    well.
    Stir in oats, flour and baking powder;
    mix
    well.
    Refrigerate, covered, for 1 hour. Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Press deep centers with thumb.
    Place one
    cherry into each center.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
    Remove to wire rack; cool completely.
    Drizzle remaining 1 cup melted chocolate chips.
