French Muffin Donuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. melted butter
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. milk
    1 beaten egg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour with 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Combine milk, egg, melted butter and vanilla.
    Add liquid ingredients to flour mixture, stirring only until all ingredients are moistened.
    Fill greased muffin pans 1/2 full.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Remove from pan immediately.
    Brush with melted butter and roll in mixture of remaining 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
    Makes 12 muffins.
