German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 potatoes (medium)
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 lb. bacon and grease
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1/8 tsp. celery seed (optional)
Preparation
    Cook cubed potatoes.
    Cover with water.
    Add salt.
    Cook it until done.
    In another saucepan, boil together vinegar, sugar, water and celery seed.
    In skillet fry bacon until crisp; crumble bacon in tiny bits.
    Save grease.
    Drain cooked, cubed potatoes. Add boiling vinegar mixture, bacon bits and grease.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Stir until potatoes become slushy.
