Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. white Karo
    1/2 c. water
    2 egg whites, beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    nuts
Preparation
    Boil sugar, syrup and water until mixture spins a thread. Gradually pour into stiffly beaten egg whites, beating continually.
    As soon as mixture begins to thicken, stop beating with electric mixer.
    Add vanilla and finish with a spoon.
    Stop when mixture holds its shape when dropped from spoon.
    Stick pecan half on top.
