Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. sliced or chunked cucumbers
    2 gal. water
    2 c. lime
    1 1/2 qt. cold vinegar
    9 c. sugar
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mixed spices
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Take cucumbers and cover with water and lime and let stand for 24 hours.
    Rinse well and let stand in clear water for 3 hours. Drain well.
