Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. milk
    6 eggs
    6 Tbsp. flour
    little butter
    vanilla
Preparation
    Mix 2 cups sugar, milk, egg yolks (save the whites) and flour in a boiler.
    Place remaining cup of sugar in heavy skillet and caramelize it.
    Then add this to the other ingredients that have been warming.
    Cook until it thickens.
    Add butter and vanilla. Put in uncooked pie shells.
    Beat the egg whites and put on the pies.
    Bake until the whites turn brown.
    Makes 2 pies.
