Ingredients

1/4 c. shortening or butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1 c. self-rising flour

Preparation

Cream together first three ingredients.
Add remaining ingredients and stir, then beat with mixer about two minutes. Bake about 25 minutes on 350\u00b0.
