Pineapple Cheese Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. crushed pineapple, drained (reserve syrup)
    1 c. cream, whipped
    1/2 c. pineapple syrup
    1 c. American cheese, grated
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Soften gelatin in water and set aside.
    Dissolve sugar in pineapple syrup over low heat.
    Add gelatin mixture to pineapple mixture and stir until dissolved.
    Chill until partially set.
    Add pineapple and grated cheese.
    Fold in whipped cream.
    Chill for 1 hour or until firm.
