Cabbage Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 16 oz. Polish sausage, sliced
    1 medium onion, chopped coarse
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 small cabbage, shredded coarse
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    2 c. water or broth
    2 cans navy beans
Preparation
    Brown sausage.
    Add onions and saute until tender.
    Stir in salt, thyme, pepper, cabbage, tomatoes and broth or water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Stir in beans.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until cabbage is done.
    Great with cornbread!
