1/2 c. olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
6 large shoulder or rib lamb chops
1 lb. fresh tomatoes, sliced
salt and pepper
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1 large eggplant in 1-inch cubes
3 green peppers, chopped
1 c. brown rice
1 (16 oz.) can tomato juice
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. allspice
