Beefy Mexican Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    1 pkg. taco seasoning
    1 can French fried onions
    1 (12 oz.) container cottage cheese
    1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 tomato, chopped
    shredded lettuce
    12 (6-inch) corn and flour tortillas
Preparation
    Brown beef; drain.
    Add canned tomatoes and taco seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Stir in 1/2 can fried onions.
    In bowl, combine cottage cheese and 1 cup Cheddar cheese.
    Place 3 tortillas on bottom of 8 x 12-inch baking dish.
    Overlap 6 tortillas on sides of baking dish.
    Spoon meat mixture evenly. Top with 3 tortillas, then cheese mixture.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions. Bake another 5 minutes.
    Before serving, arrange tomatoes and lettuce over casserole.
