Granny'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter or margarine (room temperature)
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs (room temperature)
1 c. milk
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation

Cream butter or margarine, Crisco and sugar thoroughly with electric mixer.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg.
Add flour and milk alternately; add vanilla and nuts.
Stir with spoon to mix.
Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan. Place in a cold oven.
Turn oven on to
325\u00b0.
Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Remove cake from tube pan when cooled.
