Texas Hash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped onion or less
1 c. chopped green pepper or less
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
2 c. cut okra
2 c. water
Preparation

Brown ground beef, onions and green pepper.
Pour off fat, then add salt, pepper, chili powder, rice, tomatoes, okra and water. Cook, covered, over low heat for approximately 30 to 45 minutes, until rice is done and liquid is absorbed.
