1 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 3/4 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. sliced almonds, toasted
Preparation

Pour sugar into a 10-inch heavy or cast-iron skillet; place over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until sugar melts and becomes light golden brown.
Pour syrup into a 9-inch round cake pan.
Set aside.
