2 eggs
1 1/2 c. eggnog
3/4 tsp. rum extract or vanilla
3 Tbsp. melted butter
12 slices day-old bread
Buttery Rum Syrup
Preparation

Beat eggs lightly.
Add eggnog, rum extract, melted butter. Turn into shallow bowl or pie plate.
Dip bread slices in eggnog mixture, turn until well coated.
Arrange on buttered baking sheet or broiler pan.
Brown under broiler, about 5 minutes, turning once.
Serve hot.
