Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. milk
    1 can pie cherries, drained
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour batter into an 8 x 12-inch pan.
    Spread fruit and sprinkle 1 cup sugar and 1 cup hot water over all.
    The dough comes to the top when it's done.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 about 30 minutes.
