Scottish Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 c. flour, sifted
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add flour all at once and mix by hand.
    Pat onto cookie sheet, about 13 x 9-inch. Prick all over with fork.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for about 45 minutes. Should be a light brown.
    Cut into fingers while hot.
    Sprinkle liberally with sugar.
    Cool and store in an airtight tin.
