1/2 c. shortening (part butter)
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening and peanut butter together.
Add sugars and cream.
Beat egg and blend into creamed ingredients.
Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
Add to creamed mixture.
Chill dough well.
Form into balls; flatten with fork dipped in flour.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0 on lightly greased cookie sheet.
