Cabbage Patch Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground meat (beef or turkey)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    3 c. cabbage, cut up
    2 cans tomatoes
    1 can pinto beans with jalapeno peppers
    1 1/2 c. water
    3 slices bacon, cut up
    1 tsp. sugar
    salt and pepper
    basil leaf to taste
Preparation
    Combine and cook slow for 2 hours.
    Thin with chicken broth if too thick.
