Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 lb. dates
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 c. nuts
Preparation

Cream the butter, sugar and eggs. Add dry ingredients and vanilla.
Mix the dates, water, sugar and nuts together.
Cook until dates are soft. Cool and either mix in dough or use for filling.
