Chili Beef Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
3 c. regular-strength beef broth or 3 bouillon cubes
1 (15 oz.) can tomato puree
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. each: ground cumin and oregano leaves
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans
1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn
1/4 to 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Cook beef and onion over medium-high heat until meat loses its pink color and onion is soft; spoon off and discard fat.
Reduce heat; stir in broth, tomato puree, chili powder, cumin, oregano, garlic powder, beans and corn.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
Top with cheese after serving.
Serves 4.
