Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening and 1/2 c. butter or 1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix dough by mixing the first 3 ingredients.
    Sift remaining ingredients and add to mixture.
    Roll into balls and then roll into mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
    Flatten with fork.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes approximately 5 dozen.
