Fresh Peach Tarts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

tarts or pie shell
4 c. sliced peaches
1 Tbsp. butter
3/4 c. water
1 c. corn syrup
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Thoroughly
crush 1 cup peaches in saucepan.
Add water and cook 5 minutes.
Combine corn syrup, cornstarch and salt.
Add to cooked juice.
Cook until thick and clear (5 minutes).
Add butter and cool slightly.
Arrange the rest of the peaches in tart shells or pie shell and pour thickened mixture over fruit, coating thoroughly.
Chill; serve with whipped cream.
(Can add red food coloring to cooked mixture for color.)
