Plain Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. milk
    4 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
    Add eggs, milk and melted and cooled shortening to make a stiff batter, stirring only until well blended.
    Half fill greased muffin tins and bake in 400\u00b0 oven 18 to 20 minutes.
    Makes from 12 to 15 muffins.
    This makes a very nice, soft muffin.
