Southern Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 cups butter or margarine, softened
    2 3/4 cups sugar
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
    3 cups Red Band plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 cup evaporated milk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 300\u00b0. Grease and flour tube pan. Measure butter, sugar, eggs and flavorings into large mixing bowl. Blend one minute on low speed, scraping bowl. Beat 5 minutes on high speed. On low speed, mix in flour, baking powder and salt, alternately with milk. Pour into pan and bake 1 hour or until wooden tooth pick comes out clean. Cool in pan 20 minutes. Remove from pan. May sprinkle with powdered sugar.
