Caramel Popcorn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1/2 c. light Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 to 4 qt. popped popcorn (1/2 of a brown paper bag)
Preparation
    Mix everything except popcorn and baking soda in a glass casserole dish; put in microwave on High.
    Bring to boil.
    Let boil 1 1/2 minutes.
    Remove from micro and add teaspoon of baking soda and stir with fork until frothy.
    Pour over popped popcorn which you placed in brown paper bag.
    Close tightly and shake. Place bag closed in microwave on High for 1 1/2 minutes.
    Remove and shake.
    Repeat this step for a total of 3 times, being sure to shake.
    Spread out onto wax paper to cool.
    Also may add peanuts to bag of popped popcorn if desired.
