Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 eggs, separated and beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. melted butter
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix together molasses, baking powder and spices.
    Add sugar and melted butter, then alternately add flour and water.
    Mix in egg yolks.
    Fold in beaten whites.
    Pour batter into heavily buttered pan and bake in a moderate (350\u00b0) oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream.
