Cornbread(Heritage Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cornmeal
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    enough sweet milk for a good thin batter
Preparation
    Stir well, bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
