Cranberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (13 oz.) can pineapple
    1 large pkg. lemon jello
    1 c. ginger ale or 7-Up
    2 c. cranberries (canned or fresh)
    1 (2 oz.) pkg. dessert topping
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Drain pineapple; reserve syrup.
    Add water to make 1 cup. Heat until boiling.
    Dissolve jello in hot liquid and cool.
    Mix in ginger ale or 7-Up.
    Chill until partially set.
    Blend pineapple, cranberries and nuts.
    Fold into jello mix.
    Chill.
