Chicken Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken
    1 onion, large
    4 stalks celery
    1 bell pepper, quartered
    2 bay leaves
    1/2 c. oil
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. green onion
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil chicken until 1/2 cooked.
    And next 4 ingredients and cook until tender.
    Strain and debone chicken, saving broth; set aside.
    In skillet, heat oil and add flour, stirring until light brown.
    Add broth, stirring until smooth and bring to boil.
    Add green onions and simmer few minutes.
    Add deboned chicken and serve over rice.
    Serves 8.
