Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium green peppers
    3/4 lb. lean ground beef
    1/4 lb. hot sausage
    1 c. rice, cooked
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. V-8 juice
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Remove tops and seeds of peppers.
    Cover with boiling water; cook for 5 minutes.
    Drain.
    (For crisp peppers, omit precooking.) Leave peppers whole or cut lengthwise.
    Lightly brown ground beef and sausage.
    Add to remaining ingredients.
    Stuff peppers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes or until brown.
