Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. plus 1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. ???
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. warm water
    4 c. plain flour
Preparation
    Mix yeast, 1/4 cup warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar; mix in small bowl.
    In large bowl, mix all ingredients, then let rise 1 1/2 hours, then make rolls.
    Put in pan; let rise 1 1/2 hours or overnight.
    Melt butter; brush rolls.
    Cook in a 425\u00b0 oven until done, about 20 minutes.
