Deep Dish Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 apples
    1 c. sugar
    nutmeg
    cinnamon
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    few drops vanilla
Preparation
    Place sliced apples in Pyrex pie plate or 8-inch square dish. Sprinkle 1 cup sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon on apples.
    Make a paste of the remaining ingredients.
    Spread paste over apples. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes; reduce to 350\u00b0 and bake approximately 35 to 40 minutes or until apples are done.
    Delicious topped with ice cream or Cool Whip.
