Cherry-Pie Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 can cherries for pie
    1 egg
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Put the one cup sugar with can of cherries and boil for a few minutes.
    Make the rest like cake batter and put in square pan, well-greased.
    Then pour cherries on top and bake in moderate oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
