Fish Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen cod, haddock or flounder fillets
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 green onion, thinly sliced
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (1 c.)
Preparation
    ABOUT 45 MINUTES BEFORE SERVING: Remove frozen fish fillets from freezer; let stand at room temperature 15 minutes to thaw slightly.
