Hazel'S Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco (be sure it is Crisco)
    3 c. sugar
    2 small lemons
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 egg yolks, one at a time
    2 c. plain flour
    6 tsp. cornstarch (finish c. with flavor)
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Add alternately.
    Fold in 6 egg whites (beaten).
    Flavoring can be any kind you like.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0.
