Coney Island Hot Dogs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1 c. hot water
    1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
    1 tsp. chili powder
    3/4 c. ketchup
    1 lb. cooked wieners
    buns for wieners
Preparation
    Soak soup mix in hot water for 15 minutes.
    Strain out onion pieces, reserving liquid.
    Brown beef with onions in oil in a large skillet.
    Add seasonings, ketchup and liquid from onion. Simmer together about 30 minutes.
    Serve on wieners on buns.
