Crispy Nutty Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. cornflakes
1/2 c. coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. raisins (optional)

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and mix well.
Sift dry ingredients twice and add to mixture.
Add vanilla.
Blend well and add oatmeal, cornflakes, coconut, chopped pecans and raisins (optional).
Spoon on greased baking sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 12 minutes or golden brown.
